Traveling through Japan with Tyler Matthews was an absolute pleasure. From the outset, his organisation and attention to detail made what could have been a complex itinerary feel seamless and effortless. Japan’s transport systems can be intricate, but Tyler navigated them with confidence and ease, always calm and solutions-focused. Whether it was coordinating trains, transfers, or adapting plans on the go, he stepped in with clarity and leadership in a way that felt both supportive and reassuring. Beyond his practical strengths, Tyler brought a wonderful presence to the journey. He was respectful, engaging, and genuinely enjoyable to travel with. We shared a love of food, culture, and exploration, and he moved fluidly between planning and spontaneity, allowing the experience to unfold in a rich and meaningful way. Some of the highlights we experienced together included visits to the Samurai and Ninja Museum, the Manga Museum (complete with Astro Boy moments), and plenty of laughter through karaoke nights—each one adding a layer of fun, connection, and cultural richness to the trip. He has a natural ability to hold space for both structure and adventure, making the entire experience feel grounded, connected, and deeply enjoyable. I will be travelling with Tyler again and highly recommend him.
